hey guys im new here i have a awesome 55 gallon community oscar tank upgrading to a 90 soon. Ok heres my question. I went to petsmart to get food for my oscar and another peacock eel so mine isnt lonely and i saw this single albino oscar sitting in the bottom of the tank i knew he wasnt going to last there at petsmart so i got him brought him home got him in the tank with my other oscar and the swim with each other no fights at all no even chasing each other and my tiger oscar has been the sol oscar in that tank i was scared there would be fights but anyways when i got my new albino oscar in the tank and fed him i noticed his jaw is sort of out of line in the corner of his mouth it has been about a month since i have had him and hes doing great very very active and eats alot just wondering if anyone has encountered this or could this have been a birth defect if someone could help me i would appreciate it thank you

my guess dude it was from when he/she was in a tank with 100 others that this happened,
have seen it in those fishshops with like 100baby oscars jammed in and at feeding time it first in and strongest. It can get pretty mental when the food drops...when 2 oscars lock jaws over food its full on hey.
shouldnt be a problem as long as they get on thou and doesnt mess with his eatn and stuff.

its really hard to get a picture but the left side of his jaw is like a under bite where his bottom jaw sticks out

Biggest problem could be his feeding.
If he eats good, everything will be fine.

I have seen this sort of thing loads of time, the jaw is misalligned a little. As long as he can eat I wouldnt worry
