So here is the ? Of the day.
My 2 oscars, 7-8 months old at my best guess, get the shakes. By that I mean their whole body will just shake for about 3 to 5 seconds. One of them, the larger one, has pretty much stopped but the smaller does it about every 10 min.
We are kinda worried because they have not grown for awhile, they are about 7 8 inches now, after thinking about it they are on track for their age and maybe they just slowed down. I don't know.
Ill try and post some video asap

Water perams
Nh3 0
Ph 7.6
Nitrate 20
Nitrite 0
Temp 83
Any help thanks

the whole body shake is common with oscars. im sure its a form of communication between them i just dont know what their trying to say......
all of mine do it so i wouldnt worry about it too much.

I've also seen them quiver, I think its cool to watch. But don't worry its not a health problem. It's just an Oscar thing.

Yes, very common and it is something that has been talked about time and time again. I believe it is communication but on friendly terms because I've only ever seen between Oscars that seemed to get on. My Severum's also do it and they are the best of buddies. I suppose at first glance, you might think your fish is having some kind of epileptic fit
