day and mealworms for the 3rd feed and
bloodworms/brineshrimp once a week but i
want to change it to pellets tiwce a day
and mealworms for the other feed and still
keep the bloodworms/brineshrimp once a week

I shouldn't get too worried about having a strict regime about what you feed your Oscar, as long as the food is healthy you can mix it up however you like. We normally recommend a good quality pellets as the staple diet with other things thrown in as a supplement. It sounds to me as if you are giving your Oscar at healthy diet. Even so, you are better off under feeding your fish, rather than putting too much food into the tank. I never have a set menu for my fish, they get what I feel like giving them on the day, as they are now adults, I sometimes skip a day as well.

I find that an Oscars growth rate dramatically slows down at about one year old. It's difficult to say how big they will be, they could be anywhere between seven and 11 inches at this age.

The important thing is to vary the diet, check the site for different foods to feed. Dont overfeed, only feed what they will eat in 2 mins. Once a day once they reach 3 or 4 inches

pellets are said to be the staple diet,
i only feed mine prawns, blood worms, earthworms, vegedables, and other live foods.

Ive never fed them pellets before. is that bad?

You dont need to feed pellets but its a good idea. Pellets have everything oscars need and are available all year round and store well
