I've heard many people saying that frozen foods cause problems in an Oscar's digestive track but i can't fully verify if its true.

Lots of people feed frozen food frozen to their fish, other defrost first. I defrost first because oscars dont get frozen food in the wild. Having said that i suspect that oscar are fine with frozen food

the main issue i would have with feeding any frozen food to my fish,
is unless you have frozen it yourself how do you know it hasn't been re-thawed?
maybe a shop had a fridge problem or power cut,
pretty sure once you defrost it in the majority of cases if it is off you will be able to tell, maybe only a slight chance this would happen but like most things where your pride and joys are concerned, why take the risk

i know some say that large Oscars would struggle to get them when defrosted, mine are fully grown and every day we give them 2 cubes defrosted and get EVERY one, i have 2 LARGE canister filters and the O's always get them before the filters lol.
