ive never seen one in person... im in the u.s., has anybody else in the u.s. seen one??? i want one but im scared to order online... i was j/w

I don't believe you should order one online because you'll probably just pay a lot of money for a common Oscar. I don't know of any way you could prove you bought a true wild Oscar. I guess you could go to the Amazon basin and catch one.
Maybe some of the other members can chime in on this.

there are 2 really good reputable distributors in the us. you can try jeff rapps at tangledupincichlids or ken davis at fishfarm. if either one has wild caught oscars for sale you can be guarenteed that will be exactly waht you get.

In Holland the wild ones are commonly imported and but they don't sell as good as the reds or lutinos.
At the LFS they tell me they stay a bit smaller than the reds and tigers, but i don't know if that's true.
Our fish don't grow too big, our tank becomes too small!

True dude...they seem heaps more shy and i wonder if they get pissed as they had a big pond now they have a 10gal petshop tank.
maybe try get a F1,F2 more tank wise these are.

iv ehard about these oscars before from skatkea

really wanna know more about them so going to look in2 it further....can we get 'wild oscars' imported to the uk?
