I have 2 baby oscars, One is a bit bigger than the other. They were playing about almost like cuddling and jaw locking. The bigger one has now started to pick on the smaller one. I have been keeping a close eye on them and big one seems to be bullying the little one now. I have made a wee house for the little one to hide in but won't go into it! Have been reading sites and it says don't separate them straight away with am not doing. It's sort of stressing me out that the wee one is getting a hard time. They have been together for about 2 months but have just been moved into a larger tank. Any idea's??? I feel like a right idiot!! am saying to the big fish to stop it! hahaha I want to go in the tank and smack his arse!!

since you described the oscars as babies im going to assume that what is going on in your tank is a dominance thing. i would recommend keeping a close eye on the situation and see if there is any actual damage being done to your smaller oscar. also when feeding see if the smaller one is getting his fair share of the food.
if there is no major bullying and he is getting food then i think you should leave them be for now and see what develops.
Warning..I will offend you at some point!!!

X2 It's what I was gonna say too. Once their pecking order is established and they know their "roles" things should calm down a bit more. Unless of course the little guy gets out of line and the big one thinks he needs to put him in check again. LOL
If ignorance is bliss, why aren't more people happy?

They seem alright this morning and friends again. Not sure how big the tank is but it's large!! a big cube.

I was watching them last night and it did seem bit both way. It was like the little one was winding the other one up (testing it!)

Cheers
guys for your info

Can you give us the dimensions of the tank and we will tell you how many gallons/litres

As long as one fish isnt getting seriously hurt or is really unhappy(stuck in a corner cowering all the time) then dont worry about it
I can't get no sleep

I would but I don't even have a measuring tape! Will have to buy one, haha. They both seem to be friends now and the little guy looks happy.
