how many people name their fish???? i try to but the names never stick, they always just stay "it" or " the big or lil one"

I have never named my fish before and it sure ain't going to start now. My mate has got a shoal of 200 tetras and each individual fish has got a name

I do, my O is namedBolle, wich mean fat one.
My mustan cactus pleco is named Harry and the hypopleco is called Nessie, after the loch Ness monster.

I just started when I got Os (boinga and cheese) I have hade lots of other fish with no names. My kids are the ones that picked the names not me.

My Os are Bommie and Clyde, the Jack Dempsey is Jack (Original) and the Siver Dollors are the Silver Dollar Gang.. I moved three other groups the blues Bros and the Gold Diggers groups of Gouromies and two Rainbows.. You guessed it.. The rainbow collition.. and not to forget big sucker and little sucker.. My wife named the upside down catfish, Pinelepee after Pinellepee Pitstop.. It's all good.. If it was just me I would most likely not have names, but when you want to have a conversation, you have to identify who or what you are talking about.. Dam that was a long resonce.. Sorry

I've only named two of my fish. The Oscar is named Sherman, and the EBJD is named Sheridan. The Pleco I picked up was named Norman by his previous owners. Don't see any reason to change it other than the fact of I'm not keeping him. LOL I never name the little fish. My three year old kills them off too fast for me to get attached to them long enough to think of a name. I really should move that 10gl. lol Although the mean ass Gourami that lives in there, I think is going to be named Capt. Spalding. heh heh heh Maybe I'll name the Pictus Cats Heckle and Jeckle.....

in 12 years of fishkeeping, I've only named one fish - an angel fish we named Dudley- for some reason he was special. Never named any others until the O's -because they seem to have personalities, I felt compelled to name them.... Olive & Bubba. We have one clown loach we named Fatboy; the other fish (another CL and a Severum) are nameless.... probably should name them too

It seems the majority of people here name their O's -wonder if if the same reason I felt compelled to name mine:)

i got a lutino i want to call kilo, and a red i want to call striker... i think my o's deserve it.... they're kinda like puppies!
