never seen anything like that and cos the eye is red I would say poorly dyed? i may be wrong so don't jump on the guy. ( dying is very painful for the fish.)

I had an article on them, but can't find it anywhere now...
It stated they were not dyed, but specificly bred.
But the eye thing is a bit strange in this one.
Pretty flashy.
Now who's fish is that?
Is it yours, Rosie?

to me id say its died, whether it says its specially bred or not, as far as i know to get a specific colour in any animal, from a tiger oscar to a roan horse it takes generation upon generation of specific selective breeding to get even a slight colour change, to get a oscar to look this crazy would take ..well god knows how mnay years...surley we would have seen similier things crop up before that were similier if that was the case?

thats the only reason i am syain its died, although would love ot be proved wrong!

The article was originally taken from Oscarfish.com.
I think the Boss knows that site and if their info could be correct.

I noticed that right AFTER the pics of the super reds, they explain dyed fish and advice against getting them.

I thought you may have bought that one, Rosie.
I kinda like ém, but taste is a very personal thing and I'm so glad for that!

im almost positive that ruby reds are a colour morph of oscars. like lemons and such.
my buddy who owns the lfs has just brought in some ruby reds and he has a hate on for dyed fish that is even stronger than mine.
Warning..I will offend you at some point!!!
