Ok...i'm well aware of how fast oscars grow but seeing it first hand is impressive! haha! Little Optimus was about 1.5" when I got him just over 2 weeks ago and he has already grown close to 3/4" and has bulked up dramatically! Plus his colors are changing a little and he's looking more like a "big boy" every day! Its really cool to see them grow up that fast! Even little Bumblebee has start to look bigger after only a week! And now that they are both good little eaters (and both eating pellets finally!) they seem to be getting big and healthy looking very quickly!

Can't wait til they are full grown! I love oscars...glad I decided to get them!

before you know it you'll only have the memories of how small they were.
And some pics of course, but the tiny small stage will pass so fast.
Enjoy it while it lasts.
It's even more fun if you have friends that don't come around that often.
the surprise of their growthrate is even better then.
My neighbour went to the USA for a year, and i got my baby sd's, Oscar and Gar in that time.
So i exactly knew when one year had passed and when my neighbour returned he was like glued to my tank.
i was so proud.
Still am btw!

how does yr gar get on with yr other fish noddy?

All fish are very respectfull to him, as if they know he's got some sharp teeth.
My SD's do steal the feederfish i feed to my Gar and that sometimes bugs him.
I just have to feed the whole bunch of sd's just after i give my gar his fish.
My other fish never ever bothered him at all, nor the other way around.
My Oscar does drop back a bit after i open the tanklid at feedingtime nowadays.
My Gar will snap hard at anything that may be food if he's hungry and ,even does so with the Oscar around.
My O learned that he could be accidentally bitten, so now he waits a few seconds until the Gar takes his food and runs off with the feeder.

Your cats are looking good, although they only show briefly.
It's nice to see how fast the O's still are.
Once they get bigger they seem to move more in slow-motion, because of their size!

if they only stayed at 4" just think how many of them you could have ))))optimus got some nice colouring.
