Ok...this morning I noticed the two little O's lip locking and being buttheads around each other...after a couple minutes it stopped and they were back to being buddies so to speak.

When I got home from work tonight I noticed little Bumblebee has part of his tail split about halfway down and the fin on the bottom of him just in front of his tail (forgot the name of it) has a small piece missing as well. Hes acting fine and I'm sure everything will heal up just fine but they are both starting to bully each other a little bit. Just worried that Bumblebee is going to get hurt since Optimus is a bit bigger and beefier than he is.

Is this just a phase that most go through to establish a pecking order or is it looking like the beginning of the end to where I'm going to have to split them up? They are still very young...Optimus is about 2.5" I would say and Bumble bee is a bit smaller probably 2" or a little less. Any ideas or is this fairly normal?

Both of my O's sometimes lip lock with each other but it never gets to serious, when i first got them i also noticed a small split in Oscars tail but healed very quickly with stress coat+. The aggression should calm down as they both find their place in the tank. Imo wait a couple of weeks and then make a decision as to whether to seperate or not but i reckon they should be fine.

that is normal.... trying to size up and show who is the boss.
in my case, i had to juggle the combination to stop aggression.
today, there is no more aggression...thanks for the constant passing

Well glad to hear its fairly normal and just them "growing up" in a way. Hopefully they stop soon...the funny thing is it seems that the little one is the one starting it but then the bigger just over powers him...hes apparently a stubborn little O! haha!

I'm kinda stuck with the combination of fish I have right now...don't want to add anything else in the 90 gallon...hopefully in a few months I'll be able to get my big tank and things will settle down with them!

the prime found out that his 'second in command' is working with the decepticons and planning to take over as the next prime..

Don't forget that I have Ironhide as well (Pictus Cat)...so hopefully he'll side with Bumblebee and keep Optimus's power trip under control!

Well the split in the tail is actually mostly healed back up again...just a little bit to go...surprised how fast they can heal fins!

Hopefully they behave a little more from now on!

Well the two are still being buttheads to eat other but there hasn't been any more fin damage lately...just chase each other around pretty much and try and headbutt each other out of the way when its feeding time! haha! Its funny as hell seeing the little one trying to be bossy though...he's a stubborn, tough little bugger thats for sure!

Its a little better...they are still chasing each other around randomly and then they swim together for awhile...the little one doesn't seem to be getting his fins beat up anymore though...just hoping he catches up in size a little bit though...mainly because he seems to be scrappy as hell but just doesn't have the size to back it up yet! haha!

But yes...things seem to be a little better...just both seem to be seeing who's gonna be the boss I guess.

same here,
i look in there and there fighting and then i walk close and there both swimming up against each other, and when there scared they will sit together on the bottom of the tank like friends, only ever been minor injuries even though im shore there fighting all the time
