My red O does it from time to time when he is with my tiger O, they are still only kids (2 to 3 inches long) and get along great, they swim together and feed together. I still think the red O is a male and the tiger O is a female by the way the red acts toward the tiger.

My juvie shakes his tail when he is hovering at the bottom of the tank taking a #2 near feeding time. I guess pushing hard to make room.

I'm pretty sure it's a territorial thing, I've read it in a couple places and my two oscars get along but they still do it to each other if one gets a little too close, I think it's pretty funny :laugh:
