Nemo just pooped this morning. Of course, those who know about Nemo, he is just recovering from bad ammonia in water, went through meds for ich, water is now almost at 0 for ammonia. all other levels are great. is this poop normal for an O that has not been eating normal for about a week but did swallow a cricket and pellet about 2 days ago? please comment.

It's really impossible to tell from your photograph. The color of the feces can in some circumstances indicate an internal parasitic infestation. However, it does depend on what your fish has been eating. You would have to have the feces examined under a microscope to see if there's anything untoward going on. However, sometimes very stringy white feces can be a sign of parasites, this is often accompanied by a swollen abdomen, labored breathing and maybe the fish going off its food.

Don't change any of your filter material for the time being, if you really think the filters need cleaning then clean the mechanical media out in tank water and if need be do the same with your biological media. However, do not turn the filters off for too long and don't wash the media too much, just enough to remove any solid debris.

nice to know that he is eating now...i believe it is not the eye sight but
more on body and mind coordination.... remember, it is sick and traumatized
with toxic.... just maintain your water and he will survive....

what temperature do you have in your tank for your O's? I have raised the heaters to 85. Nemo is all back to normal. He is wanting to start a fight with his brother. He is finally opening his mouth and is not crashing into things as much since the rise in temperature.
