If your fish has got something stuck inside its mouth then you will have to remove the fish from the tank and try and clearly obstruction, it shouldn't be difficult at all. Are you an angler by any chance? If not, do you know anybody who goes fishing? They could do it quite easily

Again a cricket?
Our fish don't grow too big, our tank becomes too small!

no, not again. the same one. he has not had crickets since that last time, 3 days ago. i'll be bold and ask the gentleman delivering my 125 gallon tomorrow. he's had fish for over 20 years and is the one selling me the used tank. thanks. but i tell you what, he is loving the new heaters. he keeps laying by them and as soon as he does, the seizure like actions stop immediately. i can't figure him out.

okay, i will ask the guy who is delivering the 125 gallon tank tomorrow. he has had fish for about 20 years. as i told the other person, Nemo is loving the heat. he is laying next to the heater and as soon as he does that the seizure like action stops and he begins to look for food. it's like an almost instant turnaround. what temp are Os supposed to be in? I am at 84 degrees right now and he is relaxed.

to be honest, i can not comprehend this one.... a cricket, no matter how big
it is, will decayed in two days in water. i doubted if it is still in the throat
of your fish after 3 or more days. stressing a troubled fish could only worsen
the situation and may expedite killing your fish.

If the cricket is stuck you will have to remove it or the oscar could die. Get a damp cloth and lay it on a flat surface. Catch the fish and lay him on the cloth and them cover him except the mouth with another damp cloth. Use some tweezer/pliers depending on size and gently pull the cricket out. Be gently and try not to injure the fish. Be quick though, if you havent got the cricket out in a couple of mins put the fish back in the tank for a few minutes and try again. It a difficult thing to do, you have to be gentle and quick!!!! Good luck and hopefully the guy coming round will be able to remove the cricket

Oscars can live at a Ph between 6 and 8. The immportant thing is that it is steady and doesnt vary
