I was just wondering if it was alright to but a baby oscar in the same tank as an adult oscar

The bigger one will eat the small fry. Even if it does not eat the small oscar it is no doubt going to bring tension to your tank and your fish will be stressed and might die.
My 4 Inch oscar ate my 3 inch oscar.

what is the size discrepancy? my Glutton took his 3 kins
when they were almost same size when juvenile. one of these yellow;

and one of these tigers
