hello can i keep a young oscar its only about inch n half long in an 100 litre tank just to start him of till he grows a little i no they grow large and il upgrade when i need to bit is this ok for now ????????

you can start your oscar off in a small tank as long as you upgrade when needed. they grow very fast about 1" a month until they reach 10"+ so you don't get long to upgrade. are you running a filter? and do you have a water test kit?

hi ive kept him over in the shop till ive every thing i need wat sort of filter would you think i need for this tank and is it just the normal water tests kits you get for other tropical fish and wat should the readings be for the water to be safe the peoplein the shop will hold him for one week for me till i get sorted sorry for so many questions

You need a filter rated for twice your tank size, this means if you are going to use a 100l tank, then you need a filter rated for at least a 200l tank.

The water test kit, is a liquid test kit, that tests, ammonia, PH, Nitrite, and Nitrate.

But having said all of this, you need to look at cycling the tank first. I will give you a link. The cycling process takes approximately 5 weeks.
