When they gasp like that it's usually the water quality, but since both aren't doing it I'm not sure exactly. If you could get readings from your water, eg. PH, nitrate and nitrite etc. You can get testing kits from your pet shop.
What temp do you have your water at? Also what type of filtration system? How big are the oscars, about 3-4 inch?
Just a round about figure. Mine's 9 inch!
Others should be able to tell you more!

Its hard to fly like an eagle when you are surrounded by turkeys

Not knowing more either but I wanted to ask if you cycled the tank before putting the Oscars in? Would be really good to test the water or at least have the shop doing it and tell us the results, as pooky said. If you didn't cycle it first, you might be having high ammonia or nitrite levels; maybe one Oscar is just more sensitive?

Also, are they getting along well, or is one chasing the other around?

If there's a way to increase the surface agitation (with adjustments to the filter, or an airstone), I'd do that.
If I were a guy, I\'d have probably needed only 30% of the amount of words to say this

Test the water, ammonia and nitrite should be zero and nitrate below 40 ideally below 20.

If the gasping oscar looks like he is gasping at air that usually means a lack of oxygen in the water, but usually all fish will do it not just one. Is the surface of your tank still or have you got something rippling the surface. If it still adjust the output of your filter to move the surface or buy a air pump with stone and put that in. This will increase the oxygen in the water

how big is the tank and have you got any other fish in with them
I can't get no sleep

i have a algea eater he minds his own buisness and stays away from them eating the flakes (the oscars have befreinded him though it pretty sweet) that they miss
i am sure that it is a 10-15 gallon tank
there are also ripples
i just got back fromt he pet shop and the ammonia and nitrite are both zero and the nitrate is 10.

this is the pic of the algea eater

Had a look at the pics now.
The black tiger looks just normal to me, Oscars have a way different colour and markings when they are babies still.
The albino I'm not sure about, it looks very thin to me also in that pic, but could just be me or the pic. Is it eating fine, or did it before it started to gasp? Could be whatever, maybe it has some parasites .. e.g. gill flukes can make fish gasp as well. But how could we tell really, maybe if you ask a vet about it?

The water parameters are fine, you'll have to look into a way bigger tank though somewhen soon.

That algae eater certainly looks like a catfish to me, but not really like an algae eating one, I would have thought it's some kind of catfish preying on insects and such from the looks. But I have no clue really, there are hundreds of catfish species. It's no locariid though I'd say (which are the typical suckermouth catfish).
If I were a guy, I\'d have probably needed only 30% of the amount of words to say this

I totally agree with meeto all fish look good excluding the albino,it looks really thin as if it hasnt eaten for a few days and the white scales got some dark tint in it.mine generally get this dark color in them when they r really stressed out like when i moved them 2 their new tank.

albino looks really small and thin and u need to try and get him 2 eat sumthing even if its brineshrimp or sumthing maybe move him into a tank by himself if u can just to get him to eat
DONT BUY ON IMPULSE DO SUM HOMEWORK FIRST

The albino is really thin. I am having a similar problem but not as bad as yours. My red oscar is a real pig but my albino is not eating as much, however mine is eating something as it is not thin like yours. Try to vary the diet, try some small bits of prawns and bloodworm and mini cichlid pellets

remember they are little babies and sometimes things dont go to plan or work out, you are dealing with livestock

You will need a much bigger tank and soon. Oscars get real big. You will need a tank size of at least 75g
I can't get no sleep
