I imagine it would be perfectly okay as it comes from the sea and shouldn't contain any nasties.

I've just begun feeding my oscar frozen silversides and he absolutely loves them, even more than worms...he goes absolutely nuts when he sees me bringing a defrosted one into the room.

They're quite nutritious and safe food, although I limit the amount so he doesn't go off pellets.

in most ocean park i've been through, mosh fishes are fed with those
silverside and white bait.... or even small mackerel fish....
thus i believe it is normal fish food too in aquarium....

This is what I bought. There were several silverside choices but this one had a tag 'Great for Oscar's!' and a big pic of one on the front. I love 'em. I feed my O lobster chunks and raw shrimp too and he turns that down even for the silversides.

Ocean Nutrition

Provide proper nutrition to fish-eating marine species. Silversides are a preferred alternative to conventional freshwater feeder fish that lack the nutrition marine carnivores require. Since these small, elongated fishes are from the ocean, they are an excellent source of marine protein and oils for predatory carnivorous fishes. Vitamin-fortified Ocean Nutrition Silverside is also a good food item for anemones, shrimp, crabs, and other carnivorous invertebrates.
