take out any and all decorations in tank, i try getting fish int he corner with net and going undert the fish so its only choice is to go in the net. be confident and quick. if possible get the fish on its own on one side of the tank so yr other fish r less stressed

good luck

Im glad you caught your archer.

For others here are a few tips for catching fish

If you cant catch them easily remove all decor
Get a net thats bigger than the fish if possible (the bigger the net the easier it is)
If the net is not much bigger than the fish you need to get the head in the net
Taking out some of the tank water (say half) makes catching a fish easier (this is particularly helpful if the fish is small and so is the net
I can't get no sleep

I use 2 big nets. Since they tend to bolt 180 degrees from the net, I bring the 2nd one up from behind. If done quickly and skillfully, the fish flees from the net in front right into the net behind.
