While changing tanks my Oscar tried jumping out of his old tank and hurt his head, It looks like a small scratch but not bleeding. I have moved him into a bigger tank and am about to start treating a little fin rot will this still be ok?
I feel so stink my little friend is in the wars. He is only a little fella at almost 80mm long. I am trying hard to be a good fish owner truley I am lol.

dont beat yrself up, oscars r always in the wars! mine swam into a log and cut himself a cpouple of weeks ago, best thing u can do is make sure yr water is as near to perfect as possible that way the cut will heal very quickly. dont worry it not life threatening but a pic would help us so we can confirm it is nothin to worry about

Oscars heal remarkably quickly as long as your water is good. Do the treatment for fin rot still- its ok to use it even with the scratch

Nearly every oscar gets some scrapes sooner or later so dont worry about it

Cheers guys. I will try to get a pic of him once he stops sulking. He is in a new tank as of 20min ago and is hiding behind his rock and plants. How long will he sulk do you reccon?

varies there propper little drama queens lol should be ok form anything from 5 min - half an hour

I have had my Oscar fr just over a month now and I am really attacted to the little dude. I still get a fright when he attacks my arm hair when doing stuff in his tank, Do they still do this when they are big? Not really looking forward to that he is a strong little sod now.
