TOPIC: Flukers freeze dried crickets?

Flukers freeze dried crickets? 2 years, 2 months ago #85288

I got some free flukers freeze dried crickets. On the back of thebottle it said you can feed to tropical fish.... but it says the crickets are gut loaded with calcium before freezedried.

Is to much calcium or even alittle bad for oscars? Is it even safe to feed?

i would have though it would be ok, if the bottle says ok for fish then i can't see why not. i guess they are processed for reptiles. some fish owners add calcium to there tanks too. as long as you don't go over board with them. try a few at first and see how they get on.

calcium affects PH so don't use only them everyday, mix the diet.

I was told in a local pet shop for reptiles, that the live food wasn't any good for fish. He said due to the addictives used that I would be unable to feed them to fish. I can't see how you can feed them to lizards but not fish.

Anyone tried this route?
