hi my oscars are only 6cm at the moment, i give them a mixed diet of quality dry food in the morning, and half a block of frozen bloodworms in the evening, i do let them defrost first in a bit of the tank water as one seems to get more then the other if i put it in frozen, my question, is ive seen this add on ebay for silworm pupae, are mine to young for it, xxxxx

Never saw these silkworms for sale over here.
for what I've seen with feeding Morio worms, that the shell of the worm was too hard to break for the baby Oscars.
If i wanted the O to eat it, I'd break it in two ,before feeding.
I don't know if these larvae are tough in structure.
I fed huge earthworms to my baby O and it looked like he was fighting an anaconda, but he won in the end.
Maybe some other member has tried there pupae.

Uhm, this is on top of my tank, i'm sorry i lied, i do know these things,heck, even got them.


Reality check, your O's will crush these and eat them for sure.
They are pretty soft shelled and i used them as a treat for my Koi carp.

I advice you only to look at them and not to smell them...

why the face are they really that bad, as ive orderd them now i will make sure i dont go sniffffffff
