How long has this been going on for? You could be possibly right, it could well be a swim bladder disorder. I should keep an eye on the fish, if it keeps doing this and doesn't improve, I think you may have serious problems. Sometimes when fish start behaving like this, they're actually terminally ill and there is nothing you can do about it.

I would just keep an eye on the fish and see what it does. It may well recover and be perfectly okay in a day or two. Unfortunately, swimbladder disorders are normally untreatable. In some cases, the fish still feeds okay, he just can't swim that well, I suppose in cases like this, it might be perfectly okay just to leave it like that and hope it doesn't get any worse. However, if he can't feed because it can't swim and hold its balance in the water, I think it would be kinder to euthanise the fish humanely

Found the big guy on his side this morn on the gravel,he had laboured breathing look terrible.Sadly after an hour ive decided best to put him to sleep.I don't like anything in pain and discomfort. He did however have a huge abdomen which he didn't have yesterday.Must have had a internal rupture or something along those lines.

I'm so sorry you had to go through that. I had to do that with one of my large goldfish I'd had for ages.
Sorry for your loss..
