i think my oscar has hith..

can somebody please show me pics of what it looks like and is there anyway to fix it.

it has only happend with the last 12-15 hours.

hole in the head will not develop overnight. it will gradually
manifest starting with a white spot that will become cottongy
craters. large water change is the first approach because HITH
is a water quality related diseases.

sometimes injury can be mistaken as HITH too.

my oscar has exactly that, a crater in the head and in that position aswell..

i did a water change 3days ago might have to do another tomorow.

also googled hith and found heaps of info..

i suggest you test the water first... no need to change if it is still good.
though it will not hurt if you did change the water
i assumed you understand that you do not need to clean the filter
during water change. that is the most common mistake of new hobbyist.

Mine have scar on top of their heads from bashing into the lids sometimes.
But with pristine waterconditions they allways heal very quickly.
