I came home this morning to find Oscar laying on the floor, dead. It was my albino. Now my black oscar is sad.

i think its because they can see thier reflexion in th water from above, i often lay on the floor by my fishtank and i see their reflexion in the water from above, if your woundering why i do this its because its relaxing try it lol, but im sorry for your loss xx

Thank you all. I'm way more upset than I ever thought I would be at the loss of a fish. I got pretty attached to him. He was my first oscar. But now I will need a new buddy for my black oscar, so it's off to the fish store again.

No It was just a couple of boards I laid across the top of the tank. It was just going to be for a few days until I got the chance to build the hood, but I learned my lesson. The tank is secure now and the other oscar won't be getting out.

ya my poor lil albino died as well a long time ago but his buddy was so sad
i went to the pet store and got a red blood parrot as long as the oscar is the size of the red blood parrot and those fish are amazing togother but the parrot likes a hiding place
