ive seen alot of pictures on here with red tiger oscars which have their colour at 3 inch and even younger, why are mine still grey, at 4 inch, i brought them on ebay when they were 2inch, and it said red tiger oscars, up to what age can i wait for colour to come out, xxx

Can you please post a photograph? I shouldn't worry, they will develop the adult colors gradually as they get older. Can't really give you an exact time when.

I though they all had color from day one. where I bought mine the all had color, even at different stores.

it can take a long time for them to brighten up a bit. i think it can depend apon food. some foods have colour enhancers like the hikari gold baby pellet

It is difficult to say because it is still a juvenile, but it does rather like a tiger oscar to me, whether it is a red is difficult to say at the moment. You have to wait until it gets a lot bigger, the colors will change dramatically from what it is at the moment

but ive seen 3 inch red tiger oscars on here and even younger ones that have colour, on u tube, ive heard that wild oscars dont have colour could i have been sold different oscars xx

Na like ofl says sometimes they dont get their colour till they are nearly adults...it all depends on the breeding and food. your Oscar will bloom one day soon

Unless you know which Oscars were used to produce your particular oscar then sometimes it's difficult to actually pinpoint exactly what you have got. I was looking at the wrong photo when you asked about your fish, could you post your photo once again.
