does anyone know if these are compatible in a 225 gallon?

me and my friend are moving out of our parents houses and going into a flat together. we dont want to take both of our 125 gallon tanks so we were going to buy a 225 gallon and put his pair of 8 inch barras in there and my 9 inch RTO's in there together. will this tank suffice their growth?

also anyone who has kept oscars and barramundi together would be great help for any advice related to keeping these together safely.

I am no expert on barramundi, we don't get them here in the UK, apart from at a couple of fish farms in the new Forest where they are bred for the supermarkets. However, over the years I have watched many episodes of Rex Hunt so I know that barramundi can grow extremely large, in excess of 50 lbs. For this reason, I think they will probably be totally unsuitable for anything but a commercial aquarium where tanks are very big
I may not always be right, but I am always the boss

Unless you get somebody who has kept them together it's hard to say.You must remember that there from 2 opposite ends of the world, different eco systems.Id of said a barramundi would out grow a oscar and eat it thats my oppinion.Barra's do get quite large don't they.Suppose you could try it but you'd have to keep an eye on them and have somewhere to seperate them if needs be!!
