Still not sure what the hell happened but lost one of my O's while I was up in Michigan last weekend. It's the one I mentioned before that seemed to always be hiding in the ornaments. Roommate was feeding em for me and called me Monday morning saying he was floating sideways and seemed to be struggling to breathe. By time I had gotten home, he was dead. I tested my water before I left and everything was perfect except the pH seemed to be a little high at 8.2. The other O was acting perfectly normal and still is. I got some pH 7.0 stuff to treat the tank and retested 2 hours later and pH came way do to 7.4 in the 55 and 7.2 in the 125. The other thing I noticed that could have been a problem was the temp was a little high at 82. Gradually started bring that down to just under 80. The girls at Pet Smart said that the other O may have stressed it to death. Other than that, I have no clue what the problem could have been.

Anyways, I was planning on transferring them to the 125 when I got back. Instead I wound up getting 2 more, a 2" Tiger O and a 2" Albino. They're in the 125 now and seem to be doing really good. Feeding em pellets at the moment. The other O is in my 55 gallon tank and seems to be doing fine still. Loves bloodworms. Doesn't seem to like the pellets much. Feed em pellets in the morning and bloodworms in the evening. My 90 gallon is empty at the moment. Might order another canister filter on Friday and get it back up and running. Don't have everything I need to run 3 tanks. Had to transfer everything from the 90 over to the 125. Currently I'm running a Jebo 835 Canister and an Aquatech 30-60 in the 125 and the 55 gallon tanks. So, I know the filtration is good. Eventually I'm planning to run 2 canisters in the 125. So, at the moment, I have 2 tanks with Oscars. I'll keep you guys posted and try and get pics up this evening of the 2 new O's.

Pellets - No. Bloodworms - Yes. It pretty much stayed in the ornaments all the time but would halfway come out for bloodworms. Maybe I should have separated them. Didn't really want 2 separate O tanks though. Oh well.

I got the 2 of em around mid January. They were about 2 inches then and are roughly 4 inches now.

Sorry about your oscar man, I just lost one a few days ago. It sucks but Noddy is right, re-stocking will help.

Im sorry for your loss

A word of advise. Dont mess with Ph unless you know exactly what you are doing and dont adjust it by more than 0.2 a day. Stable Ph is the important thing
