I have had Oscars over a number of years without any problems, but I set up a tank and placed 2 Oscars in it over the weekend. I am concerned about their welfare at the moment as these are the only two that continue to linger around the bottom of the aquarium and seem very quiet, only moving when they are fed.

Is there any reason I have not thought of why they continue to hang around the bottom of the aquarium?

If you have cycled your tank and the water parameters are ok, just give them few more days. they might be adjusting to the new environment

its not unusual for new fish to be a little shy, what else is in the tank with them? is the tank cycled?

Thanks for your advice, they seem to having more live in them now and making use of the new environment.

Thanks again
