ok I have a 55 gallon tank with a 60 gallon whisper filter. I have been feeling like it wasnt enough. I bought a fluval 105 for $100 and i think it was a good decision to have both running. what do people think?

Fluval makes great Canister filters! But all I can say is watch your water, you will soon know if it is not enough!

A 105 is pretty small but with your other filter it should help massively ..if you have a 55 gal try looking for a fluval 404 or 405 they are ideal for 55 gal

well I believe that the combo of a canister and an HOB filter is very effective.
Your whisper filter is for aquariums from 30gallon to 60 gallon. and your Fluval 105 canister is rated up to 25 gallons. Normally on this site it is recommended to have twice the recommended amount, so more filtration wouldn't hurt. But if you are consistant with you weekly waterchanges and keep a good eye one the tank, you should be able to do pretty good. If you got one more 30-60 gallon Whisper HOB... I would feel more comfortable saying your are "good to go"(about $35Bucks).

If you are thinking of getting a 205 spend the extra cash and get a 305 or even 405

A fluval 305 will filter a 55g. However a 55g is only big enough for 1 oscar. I hope you have a much bigger tank for those oscars to go in
