Have a wierd request from the users of the forum.
Spent months looking into diffrent bio media and there ability, pros and cons. They best I could find was the use of pot scrubbers due to massive surface area as well as not clogging like many ceramic materials do after time.
Hence decided to look into and manufacture my own type of media that I have samples of. However before I invest a lot of money I would be interested in hearing from experienced folks on the forum if this is something that they would find interesting and worthwhile purchasing.
Based on initial tests it has 2-3 times the bio area of any plastic media available on the market. It also does not clog like ceramic types do after time.
Below is a picture. It is a mesh ring same as a pot scrubber but only 1.5cm in diamter so you could have a huge number in any filter such as FX5. They also allow fantastic water flow rate through the media.
Your views would be appreciated.
