TOPIC: stupid fluval

okay so after reading someone elses thread about microbubles i decided to do my own so for ever i have had microbubles everywhere and idk if its bad good or watever but it is really anoying cause it looks like debris in my tank i know its comming from my fluval 305 canister filter and idk why i tried re starting it sevral times and did nothing idk wat to do its a real eye sore anyone got any ideas

Make sure there is no air in your filter!!! Mine all throw bubbles when they are trying to expel air!

i no but i have restarted the dumb thing sevral times and its supposed to be quit and its not load but not wat its supposed to be but my main problem is the bubles i no theres air but everytime i restart it itll end up like that again and again i even returned one before and they both did the same

Try letting it run, and tipping the canister sideways a little... Or rocking it back and forth... This will push any air out! You may have to do it a few times...

Maybe check to see if your filter media needs cleaning/replacing. I am not real familiar with your fluval model but my FX5 gets micro bubbles when it hasn`t been cleaned for a while. This is even talked in the owners manual under troubleshooting.

clogged media or tubings (or even squeeze tubings to reduce the waterflow) can create microbubbles but usually in my case it was air trapped in the motorhouse, that came out as microbubbles.
The tipping Nicki suggested did the trick for me to eleminate any air.

During daytime i do not mind any microbubbles, and in the big tank if i get bubbles, it means i have to refill the sump, for waterlevels will start to become low.
But at night, the microbubbles combined with the Blue LED's are very distracting and drive me crazy. :angry:

my fluval is only like a lil more then a month old so i dont think i need to replace anything
