Sigh....

So my family and I come home and I noticed a small dried water spot on the corner of my 110 gallon tank. I check the right rear corner of the tank an sure enough it's wet. Clean it up an I put a peice of paper towel in that corner. Have dinner then checked the corner. Sure enough the paper towel is soaking. It looks like the wood stand the tank is on has absorbed alot of the water. Race to the LFS get some silicon.

Tair down the tank and re home my 2 oscars in a rubermade contaner and my JD an pleco in another rubermade. Both have thermometers an a aqua clear 70 HOB running.

Got 2 corners scraped free of the old seals. Need to get more razor blaids tomorrow.

Going to be a long day tomorrow.

Any tips or tricks for this job?

If the seal had gone in a part of a tank then reseal ALL of the tank. years ago i had a leak near the top of a tank, so i drained some water and resealed around the leak. Next day it started leaking further down, so completely drain the tank and reseal all of it
I can't get no sleep

x2.
the new silicone will not stick to the old stuff, so take it all out and then reseal.
