I am getting a new 240G tank for my babies. I had planned on using Marineland C530 filters (two of them.) I have had good luck with my C360s from them.
I went to this new website called AqAdvisor.com which is supposed to give you good advice on your tank. It said for my stocking, the tank would only be filtered 71%.
Some experimentation with their formulas revealed that 2xEheim 2250's would be 126% filtration for my tanks stock.
Question:
For my stock, what would all of you give as a recommendation?
2xOscars
1xBlood Parrot Cichlid
1xFlowerhorn
5xClown Loaches
I would like double filters running so during maintenance, of it ones dies, it gives me some time to work.
Cheers,
J

if i were given a chance, i would like to have an FX5 with that size of tank...
and an standbye C530... in case of trouble, you can transfer all media from FX5
to make the C530 running... but FX5 will not fail you for a long time...

Being in the industry certainly helps, there is quite a large margin on retail fish and aquarium products.
