hey guys i was wondering what kind of light bulbs do yall use for your oscar tank? i know it cant be bright and what not.

I have 3 stages of lighting. 1 stage is 2 36" fluorescent lights. They hate it. They usually hide. However, I have to keep em on for the live plants to grow.

2nd stage, I have 3 LED Puck lights. VERY low lighting, but it's nice to look at, and ALL the fish come out.

3rd, I have blue LEDs for Night lights. These are my favorite.

Sometimes I'll combine the blue LEDs and White and it gives a real nice effect too.

Daylight: 1 T5 TL, one spare for taking pics.
Evening light: 6x6 Deville White LED spots with coloured filters.
Nightlights: A large string of blue 2 watt Xmas lights, bundled together

i have 3, g13 t8 tubes, i have two tubes on for eight hours a white one and a blue one, in the evening i have one blue tube on, my ozzy doesnt seem to mind the lights at all, xxx

i have just the normal 4ft globe but getting blue leds for night time looks great 2

Cant be doing with "fairy lights" in my fish tank...

One set of T5 with power glo and aqua glo bulbs

One set of T8 with two marine glo bulbs...and the reflectors arranged so I have a couple of darker spots
