I have a 60gallon tank it's 5ft long.In it i have two wolf cichlids.Filtering it i have a fluval 305,405 and fx5,all trays are full of bio max, every three days theres a show of ammonia, not what id be expecting with all that filteration id of said the 305 and 405 would of coped on there own not to mention the fx5 on it too.Theres no plants or rotting food as i only feed what they can eat and i pwc 50%every 3days.Now we could say overstocked but i wouldnt of said that with all the filteration on it,what do you guys think?

You have absolutely tons of filtration for a 60g
How often to your clean the filters, and when does the ammonia show, after a water change? Do you clean the gravel, after that?
When you say you only feed what they eat how much is that, you should be feeding them only what they can eat it about 3 mins
What are your test results for nitrite and nitrate

You are filtering your water at 1525 gallons per hour on a 60 gallon tank? Thank is filtering the water 25.5 times an hour... are you sure you have the filters correct? Also the size of the tank might not be accurate... 60 gallon tanks are not normally 5 feet.

1.5ft x 1.5ft x 5ft is 70g so if it not as tall or the width is reduced a little then a 5ft tank can be 60g. However these dimensions would just about be ok for an oscar but 1 wolf cichlid no let alone 2. If they are still quite small then 2 wolfs would be ok for now tho. How big are the wolfs?

Tank sise is 60lengthx18widex23high just measured it.The wolfs are male 12inch female 6inch.Ifeed them once aday, only a few pellets at a time untill they stop taking them then whats left is removed but they generally don't leave anything.I gravel vac very 3 days along with 50%change of the water.Im sure about the filters as i put them on LOL.I clean the filters in alternate months 1 monthly.Nirtite is always at 0 nitrate after three days is at 10ppm.After the water change the ammonia goes to 0,on the third day it starting to show so i do my water change.Ino they could do wi a bigger tank but id of thought that that sise tank with all that filteration would be fine think im been proved wrong.Seems ill have to get a bigger tank and put a snake head in there. What you guys think?

That would be a 105 US gallon or 90 UK gallon tank.
Either way the problem will be that you tank is only 18 inches wide and that wolf cichlids can get up to 26 inches for males and 16 inches for females. With either of the two fish the tank will be to small for your fish to turn around in when full grown. So even with all of your filtration the tank will not be able to happily house the fish.

Your have more than enough filtration to cope with those 2 fish. If you overcrowd a tank and up the filtration to cope with the number of fish the problem would be the nitrates getting too high too quick which you dont have. The other problem would be stunting. I am at a loss as to why you get a show for ammonia
At the moment the fish are not too big for your tank but they will get too big!

How long has the tank been set up? How long have you had the wolves? What was in the tank before you had the wolves?
If the tank was not set up long before you put the wolves in it maybe cycling still. Also if the wolves are new and you had other fish in the tank before, the bacteria on your filters may just be catching up to the amount of waste the wolves are putting into the water compared to what the old fish put in it.
