okay ive managed to set everything up, my filter came with no instruction, should i just fill with water and switch on, it has a big push button on top, its a self primer aqua 3, xxx

Hi Hun!

Lets get this big boy started!!!

1. Fill baskets with media...
2. Fill canister, I would use tank water
3. Place the top on the canister, make sure all hoses are connected and tight...
4. Place hoses in tank
5. Plug it in...

I would make sure and listen for any air in the system. I know you said it was self priming, but it does happen on occasion...

Once you know it is running, I would check the output for flow amount... Just put your hand in front of it so you can feel the water coming out. There should be a fair amount of current!

IF you feel little to no water coming out, I would unplug the filter and check for air in the lines...

okay i dont have much current ive checked pipes and presses and pressed the big button until no more air comes out but still their seems to be little current, any advise xxx

I would unplug the filter, leave the lines in the water, and press the BIG button!....

Then restart...

You can also try tipping the canister just a bit back and forth to make sure all the air is out.

if i were you i would empty the filter and the hoses. Then set up the filter and suck on the outlet. This should fill your filter without any air blockages

okay ive done all that , i now do have a current, but not as strong as i thought it might be, maybe im just to used to my powerheads lol xxx

same with mine, my powerheads currents fell atleast twice as strong as my canister

oh good than im not the only one, so i can stop worring now, all is well xxxx
