When I upgrade my tank setup, I am not sure what size I will get. Whatever I can find on Craigs List I guess. It will not be smaller than 60/65 gallons and most likely not larger than 70. Room and floor strength are my issues. My oscar is an only fish.

My question is, can I use the FluvalFx5 with a 70 gallonish tank? Will it be too strong and make it a whirlpool, lol? Thanks!

I had my FX5 on a 55 to start with and it worked great... I know several people who have them on 55's and 75's and they are fine...

You wont be sorry with that filter! they are wonderful!!!!

I have two of the beasties on a 100 gallon tank. No problems whatsoever.

I got mine for £130 GBP each so it is well worth shopping around when you come to buy it.

I've seen one of a 55g with a Flowerhorn and the fish didnt seem to mind the situation at all, he just wanted to attack you like any other FH does ;P i think you'll be fine
