Hi. This might be a stupid question but I'm confused so I ask.
Locally available airpumps are rated for up to 30gal tanks. I would like to place bubbles in the rear of the 120UKgal Os tank, both for the complementary dissolved O2 and the aesthetics it brings. When temporarely housed in the small tank (cramped in a 29USgal bow tank) the Os enjoyed the bubbles a lot.
How should I work this around? Five airpumps seem to me like odd solution, putting the noise aside. What should I do?

I only got 1 pump,(whisper 600) Its not big and i dont even know how much air it puts out to be honest. It disturbes the surface and thats the main thing for me. One thing I would say is put a anti siphon filter in the line so if the pump goes off you dont loose any tank water over your floor. i hate the noise and have thought about removing it but then I get a film on the sureface and thats worst than the noise.

i use a jet stream 3500 in my oscar tank. it comes with rubber feet to eliminate some of the noise and it runs 2 airlines from it. i only use it to supplement the available o2 in my tank and frankly i dont think its really neccesary. if you have enough surface agitation from your filters return you should be fine. they do have an aesthetic quality and like your o's mine like to play in the bubbles
