so ive converted my 1 magnum 350 to more bio filtration with bio beads in the media basket but will this 1 filter be enough for my 75 gallon tank ive been told yes and no anyone got any advice

it really depends on the amount of fish in your tank. if you have one oscar and a couple of small mates you should be fine. however just keep testing your water on a monthly basis for ammonia and nitrites and if you see any rise from 0 stock your other filter as well to help it cope the bio load or just set it up now and get it over with. really its your call

ok thankyou i have a baby redtail cat and a small clown knife and a 3 inch oscar the other canister filter quit working actualy the motors went bad i hope the one will keep up if i see amonia levels rising what should i do and do you have any recomendations on a good affordable canister filter for my setup and how long you think i have befor i need it

your red tail cat will get massive, 3ft+. You will need a massive tank or to rehome it. In the uk in london there is the london aquarium, they have some red tailed cats and they are all from people who had to rehome them cause they get so big, think about rehoming in now while it is small

a guy at my local fish shop gave his redtail to a london aquarium as it grew to over 5 feet...

unless you have a heated swimming pool your gonna need to re home that fish lol

lol i no my local marine warehouse said theyd buy him back when he gets bigger ive just always wanted one and he was just the right size for now

do you have any pics of him? the only real i have ever seen is a 3 foot one down in my local shop..poor thing is in a 6ft tank:(

ill try and get a good pic of him and then figure out how to post a pic and thats a shame that fish should have a swimming pool lol mine is odd looking tho bcuz hes a highbrid of a redtail and a shovelnose ill get a pic tho
