hey ive justed added this fungus and finrot medicene for on one of my oscars and its made my tank go blue and im worried that this is not supposed to happen. got any info or advice on it?!

some meds can stain your silicon on your tank so beware (met blue). yes some meds will colour your water.most will not stain and will fade.also some meds will give false water test results so check with your test kit. hope you have removed any carbon as this is not really needed with oscars anyway.

I figure you added a formulation with one of the "green" agents ( e.g. malchite green, victoria green, etc. ).

It may stain your decor or the silicon in your tank, but if you dose as suggested, it will likely wash away.

There are two types of Ammonia liquid reagent tests. The one that's named "Nessler" will give you false positives whenever the "green" agents are used, the one with salicylates not likely.

Both are extensively used in Freshwater Aquarium tests. Check your brand to be sure.
