how much gravel should i have in my 60 gallon tank? (lbs)

it depends on the owner's (you) choice. substrates are
meant to give fishes loose base to dig on plus the beauty
it gives as decor. however, it requires additional works in
maintenance.

i like about 1"at the front of the tank bankig up to about 3"at the back thats how i do it but its entirely up to you as long as you got cover .....the fish will rearange it how they want it anyway ,i often stand up in the morning and all my gravel is up one end of the tank these fish are like mini load shovels with substrate

in my set up, one end is about 4 inches high banking
up to the middle. the other end has none so that all
dirt and waste will roll toward the suction point of
the pump. this idea help me get rid of those dirt and
poohs without regular cleaning. i just replace the top
layer of my filter with a clean one to maintain the cycle.
