HELPP!!!! My plans of getting a 120g this saturday was cancelled due to thickness of glass issues.. Im currently planning to setup a 4x2x2ft or appx 120g tank.. The glass store told me we should use a 3/8inch glass for it to hold the pressure of water inside.. do yuo think this is enough??help pls:S

for a 24 inch tall tank 3/8 of an inch glass is quite adequate for the job.

the thickness of the glass in an aquarium is based on the water pressure exerted. this in turn is dictated by the depth of the tank. the taller the tank the thicker the glass.

that is the normal thickness for that size.
more than that will use 1/2" thick glass already.
just make sure that you have enough cussion support
when you install it.

Yep, thats right, I have a 75 gallon that is 3/8inch glass, but my 180 is a full inch thick acrylic, but that is three ft tall.

on my 150g i had a choice of 8mm or 10mm. I went with 10mm, I have a 60g in 8mm.
