hi guys i would like your thoughts please on bright lighting or dim lighting for my new amazon tank as i cant decide myself?????????it looks a lot more atmospheric with the dim lighting but you can only see the true colours as they pass through the light band ...both ends are dark for about 6" and the heater and intake strainer on the back wall are not visible at all..i would like your opinions please:huh:

on my own viewpoint, it is nice to look at the planted
tank and stay for a while so why deprive your self for
good viewing.... i will go for a brighter one.... anyway
you gonna shut it off before sleeping...right?

dim light usually give headache if you stared it longer.

yes..... the moonlights come on for three hours after the main light goes out before going out for the night ...and on again for one hour before the main tank light comes on in the morning to make the transition from light to dark less stressfull for my fish

i find the brighter lighting nicer to watch my oscars with even though the oscar might not like it as much. im sure, for the oscar, they would prefer a more subduded lighting but i guess ultimatly its your call.
Warning..I will offend you at some point!!!

i prefer less light in my tanks. I feel that it creates a pleasant feeling and it's nice to look at.

I have a single 3/4 inch tube to light my 150g. its not bright but enough. i do sometime think it could do with a little more light to show fish off better. but like subdue lighting. Why not have both on a timer. bright light for a time then one goes out to leave subdued lighting for the evening?
