hi guys just thought i would post this for your reveiws...we all rave about the fluval and eheim filters but i recently found this range of filters that seem more like ready made sumps !!!!!! the size and flow rates are variable and the price is pennies compared to our external canisters .........anyone know any reason we dont use these things on our tanks ???????????the big one is capable of a 3000uk gallon pond !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not sure it applies here but i think it needs to be above the water level. Lid isn't sealed. for most of us a filter above the tank is hard to hide. As i said its not a cert and the only way to find out is to check. for a pond its easy to hide behind a waterfall.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but for such little money they probably could be easily modified into a great sump /canister filter with a large powerhead and some silicone

That looks pretty cool. I might have to get one of those

It looks more pond oriented, though, but I think with a few minor modifications it could work for an aquarium, too.

(btw, check this out : www.worldofwater.com/hozelock_cyprio.htm )
