Ok guys couple of questios,

1 What media do I need to go get for this thing?

2 If I run this in my current tank, (because the new tank will never hold water) along with my current filters will I get a bloom?

I am so excited but I have no idea how to work this thing:unsure: !

My watre Paramiters are
0 amonia
0 nitrites
5ppm nitrates,

So I don't want my tank to cylce again!

no... as long as you let the existing run too. after two week, your fx5 should be colonized too with good bacteria.

it will remain that way for a longer period than usual without water change.

you don't have to. run the two in parallel and you will find your water in great condition.

run it on your old tank with bioballs or ceramic tubes in the 3 baskets and a foam polishing pad on the top basket ......thats it ..connect it up put 8 litres of water in it and open the valves and turn it on !!!!!!!! you wont get bacterial bloom if you use it in conjunction with your old existing filter and after 40 days it will be fully cycled

if you run both filters in tandum you wont need to cycle your tank again. if you want all you nned to do is to put the bio media from your old filter into your new one and your good to go.

as for what you need to put in it, its up to you.
the way i have mine set up is bio max in the bottom 2 trays and fluval prefilter and a blue fine filtering pad in the top. works great in my 180.

how did it fit-in in your cabinet? did you cut the divider?

If hell froze over, it still wouldn't fit! lol. I have it sitting on the floor next to the tank! my cabinet is only about half the size of the canister! Oh well I love it anyway!
