Can anyone give me some advise on Eheim canister filters? I am keen on upgrading to either a Eheim pro 3 2075 or Eheim wet/dry 2329 but have no idea which is better or the difference between wet/dry and ordinary canister.
Is anybody running these types of filters or got any recommendations for a canister filter for a 100g tank with 2 oscars & 6 other fish???

i would avoid the eheim wet dry on the basis that it tends to clog up rather quickly and therefore have a reduced flow. i beleive ofl had one at one time and switched because of this reason.

i have not used many eheim filter myself but i do know that they are probably the best on the market right now. just make sure the canister you get is rated for a tank twice as big as the one you have and you should be fine with it.
Warning..I will offend you at some point!!!

I have always used Eheim canister filters and still do. I am running two Eheim 2028's on my 125 gallon tank. Obviously you don't need two, one would do the job. These are truly superb filters, second to none in my opinion. I would definitely avoid wet/dry canister filters when keeping messy fish. The first Eheim filters I had were Eheim 2329's. Very nice filters, but they ran very slowly once dirt started building up in the media.

If its good enough for OFL its good enough for me. They are very good filters but as said I would go with a canister. top brand and very reliable.

If it packs up in the first week, I'll get the blame
