plmok61 created the topic: Tank leaning slightly forward

A few days ago we upgraded from a 29g tank to a 60g tank. Our oscar is very happy with his new house. I noticed that the tank is leaning slightly forward. I measured and the water level in the front of the tank is 3/16 of an inch different from the back. Is this a huge issue or is it a small enough difference? We live on the ground floor of our building and the tank is in a carpeted room.

You can barely even the the difference in this picture

Here is the whole tank

I would shim the tank stand to get closer to level.

i second on that ~ you don't want the front of the tank bowl

3/16 of an inch is neglible... and you won't fill the tank up to the rim right?
the difference won't cause tilting forward...

however, i agree with Rock, a simple shim at the foot of the stand could balance the tank
