turtle lover created the topic: New filter in an established aquarium

Hi
Just wondering, if you are an established tank with bacteria, then you add a new filter system to let's say to make the bacteria grow. What will happen to the fish?

nothing will happen to the fish bacteria will grow in the new filter and the old filter will continue to work like normal

Don't dwell on what went wrong. Instead focus on what to do next

no...none at all... you just make your water good... and when you need the new filter for another tank...
your old filter will work just as fine.
