I found a wonderful 65 gallon hexagon style tank within my area that I really want for my oscar. I haven't seen anyone have a oscar in a hexagon. Is it okay to get one? The measurements are 52.5" tall. 2 feet front to back. 27.5" at its widest across.

I don't see why not, you are providing enough water one adult Oscar & that's the most important thing when choosing a tank. A lot of people prefer wider tanks as they think the Oscar likes to move from side to side, but to be honest I don't think an Oscar has the brain capability to actually say to itself "I wish my tank was wider"

I may not always be right, but I am always the BOSS :-)

Its obviously better than what he's in now, but far from ideal for any more than 6-8 months. Oscar is a back and forth lateral moving fish. Tank length and width are very important, more than actual volume. Even a 4ft standard 55g is better than the 65 hex you are considering. I would honestly keep searching for a rectangle tank of 75-90g. If this hex is a super good deal, ok, but still realize you need something else before too long.
