DRACO created the topic: SUDDEN TEMPERATURE DROP

for more than 20 years of fish keeping, i lost juvi oscar due to sudden temp drop...
we live in tropics but this week, temp in my place drop to 19 deg C which is normally @27 deg C
it had affected all my fish including the gator and rtc... i have no choice but to get a heater...
the gators were covered with thick white slime that looks like fats...

will give update later ..

lowering the water level, install the heater, and add some rock salt, they are now active and clear...

look at the white stuff all over the gator's body when affected by cold front.

and the RTC chilling near the sumpump

Did the rest of your fish pull through Draco?
Sorry to hear about this. At least you now have a heater for backup just in case and it won't waste power since it will rarely turn on under normal weather conditions where you live.
